Matt Belcher

Matt Belcher is Assistant Director of Galleries in the College of Arts + Architecture at UNC Charlotte. A native of Florida, Matt comes to UNC Charlotte from the Polk Museum of Art, where he worked for more than a decade managing print, web, and exhibition design. During his career, Matt has installed artwork ranging from paintings, sculptures, and tapestries by emerging contemporary artists to masterworks from household names such as Goya, Chagall, and Rodin. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in art history from Florida Southern College (Lakeland, FL). In his free time, Matt enjoys taking motorcycle rides through the North Carolina countryside and working on home projects with his partner, Taylor, and his cat, Potato.
